Faisalabad was built as a wheel — eight bazaars spoking out from a Victorian clock tower, one for each direction. It is an unusually easy city to eat your way around, because the food follows the same geometry: pick a bazaar, walk it end to end, and you will not go hungry.
This is a list for that walk. Halwa puri where the mills' shifts start, kulfi in the afternoon heat, and the karahi and tikka counters that fill up once the fabric shops shut.
Ghanta Ghar
The centre of the wheel and the natural start of any food walk. Eight bazaars, eight directions, one very good excuse to wander.
Karkhana Bazaar

Snacks, sweets and chai between the shops. The samosas here are the ones locals send visitors to.
D Ground Food Street

Faisalabad's modern eating strip — burgers, BBQ, ice cream and the evening crowd that comes with it.
Rex Chowk

A junction thick with fast-food counters and juice carts. Busiest after the offices empty.
Chiniot Bazaar

One of the eight spokes, good for fried snacks and old-style sweet shops.
Kachehri Bazaar
Court-side eating — quick plates of chana, samosa and chai for people waiting on paperwork.
Jhang Bazaar

Produce and food carts side by side. Come for the fruit chaat in summer.
Susan Road Food Stalls

The student end of town — rolls, shawarma and late-night broast at forgiving prices.
Serena Chowk Dhabas

Daal, roti and tea done plainly and well. The everyday lunch that keeps the city running.
Amin Pur Bazaar

Mithai shops with proper gulab jamun and, in winter, gajar ka halwa worth queueing for.
Faisalabad Halwa Puri Points

Sunday morning, hot puri, cholay and a glass of lassi. The city's most reliable ritual.
Canal Road Chai Dhabas

Roadside chai with the canal alongside — the default place to sit and talk for an hour.
Batala Colony Food Stalls

Evening carts doing bun kebab, fries and juices for the surrounding neighbourhoods.
