Savour FoodsNo. 1 in this guide

Rawalpindi is the older, hungrier half of the twin cities. Where Islamabad has markaz squares, Pindi has bazaars — narrow, loud and full of counters that have been feeding the same families for generations.

This is a walking list. Raja Bazaar and Commercial Market are best explored on foot with small notes in your pocket, stopping every fifty metres for something fried, sweet or poured. Winter is the season: Kashmiri chai, hot halwa puri and fish that only appears when it's cold.
